The Portes du Soleil has been one of the biggest players in world skiing for the last 50 years, with 12 linked resorts either side of the French-Swiss border just an hour from Geneva :

The ski area enjoys exceptionally good snowfall from mid-November to the end of April, with an average of 7m83 of powder every year.

The Portes du Soleil : a massive territory that's MTB heaven on earth...Thanks to the Portes du Soleil's size and topography, riders can take in an ever-changing landscape, from treelined singletracks in the forest, to wider and easier routes across Alpine meadows that you'll share with cow herds grazing on the lush grass.
Take advantage of the 22 mountain lifts on offer to hop over the Franco-Swiss border with incredible panoramas on offer for your ride downhill.
Around 20 bike patrollers make daily checks and carry out running repairs to ensure the tracks and parks are safe and up to scratch.
